SCYA plays in the Anne Arundel Youth Soccer Association league (AAYSA). Please visit their website at the link below for soccer game schedules, rules, posted field closures, as well as other useful information.
The season will begin on August 1. Teams must be registered with AAYSA by August 3 so please sign up early to guarantee a spot! Games will begin in September and are typically held on Saturdays (Friday nights for U12).

All players will need cleats, shin guards, and a full uniform consisting of a jersey, shorts and socks.
Registration fee is: $90.00
Individual uniform items can be purchased as needed (Girls' Jerseys are changing Fall 2018. You MUST purchase a new jersey to participate in Fall Girls' County Soccer):
Jersey - $20.00
Shorts - $15.00
Socks - $8.00
The league imposes a roster size limit for each age group/team and once the limit has been reached additional players cannot be added unless granted special permission from the league/county. In addition, additional teams may not be added after the registration deadline. Therefore, register early to ensure your child’s placement on a team. Late registrations will only be accepted if a team has room left on their roster and an additional $20.00 late fee will be imposed.

Teams, coaches, and other special requests are given best effort to be honored but cannot be guaranteed.
If you have an interest in coaching, being an assistant coach, or a team Mom/Dad please indicate it on your child’s registration form or send me an email. Training will be provided for anyone interested in coaching. The registration fee for the head coach’s child is waived. A background check is required (for both head AND assistant coaches) through Anne Arundel Parks and Rec (a $7.00 fee is imposed and it is good for three years). In addition, all head coaches are required to have completed at least the bronze level of coaching certification through the Anne Arundel County Parks and Recreation (no exceptions to either).
Evaluations are used to determine what skill level each player possesses. In the event that we have enough players to form more than one team in any age group, evaluations will be conducted (these are NOT tryouts as every player will make a team). These are held in a very organized manner, and are 100% fair. Evaluators with soccer experience will determine the placement of the players. All of the evaluators’ scores are tallied, and the players will be placed on teams according to their skill level. Each team is then registered with the county at different levels/divisions and will not play each other. This is to the betterment of the players.
